Australian Timber and Trusses – Nerang QLD Australian Timber & Trusses is seeking a passionate Work Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in our Nerang, QLD location. As a full-time role, this position plays a vital part in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees across our operations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our safety culture and contribute to the ongoing success of our business. We are looking at starting a new WHS advisor in the New Year. Please make your application in anticipation of reviews and interviews in early January. What you'll be doing Implementing and maintaining health and safety systems, policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance Conducting risk assessments, developing safe work methods and providing guidance to managers and employees Investigating incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Providing health and safety training to employees and monitoring compliance Collaborating with managers to develop and implement health and safety initiatives Maintaining detailed records and reporting on key health and safety metrics Liaising with regulatory authorities and industry bodies as required What we're looking for Minimum Certificate IV qualification required in Occupational Health & Safety Experience in a similar work health and safety advisory role, ideally within the manufacturing or construction industry Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislation, standards and best practices Excellent problem-solving, analytical and report writing skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently Australian work rights required for this position What we offer At Australian Timber & Trusses, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment where our employees can thrive.
