We are seeking a supportive team manager to work in our newly refurbished Visitor Centre opening early 2026; working frontline to welcome visitors and provide a great experience. About the role This is an exciting opportunity to lead a professional customer service, information and retail team responsible for the successful running of the Kamay National Park Visitor Centre. This is a new position and will be pivotal with the reopening of the newly refurbished Centre. You will be managing a motivated team of casual employees and ensuring the delivery of quality visitor information and retail services, booking centre spaces, groups, tour programmes and community events. Working closely with management, you will contribute to the development and implementation of NPWS’ visitor centre and service strategy, product development, revenue generation, related policies and procedures to provide an effective and efficient visitor information and retail facility. About You Drawing upon your tourism and retail background, you will have strong communication and leadership skills to successfully mentor and manage a small team to consistently deliver high‑quality customer service. Ideally, you will have experience using a variety of digital technology systems, managing financials and budgets. Previous experience supervising within a Visitor Information arena will be highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and promote visitor services and an information and retail outlet. Relevant knowledge and the ability to inform visitors of the natural and cultural heritage values of conservation reserves and the visitor services and facilities that are available. Demonstrated ability to use retail management systems to monitor and report on financial performance, stock control and security. This role requires a current Australian Drivers Licence, current first aid certificate and a current Working with Children check.
