Overview Gallagher Bassett is searching for an experienced General Liability Claims Consultant to join our high‑performing General Liability team. The role involves collaborating with government agencies, solicitors, lawyers, third parties, and internal and external stakeholders on both litigated and non‑litigated claims. The position is permanent, full‑time, and offers a hybrid work approach between WFH and our Sydney CBD office. Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of General liability (litigated and non‑litigated) claims end to end Interpreting public liability and professional indemnity policy wordings and applying them accurately Providing advice to insured clients on indemnity, liability, quantum, reserving and settlement Liaising with third‑party providers (solicitors, loss adjusters, brokers, barristers) Settling claims within client service instructions, company guidelines and delegated authority Resolving complaints in accordance with company guidelines and identifying potential fraud/recovery indicators where applicable Qualifications Minimum 2 years of claims experience in public liability and/or professional indemnity claims management Industry‑specific ANZIIF qualifications (desirable) with exposure to Third‑Party Liability claims Flexibility and receptivity to change Focus on customer/client relationships Excellent customer service, communication, time‑management, organisational and interpersonal skills PC literacy – Database and Microsoft Office Benefits Flexible work arrangements – including some WFH Paid parental leave Excellent working environment with friendly, flexible and inclusive culture and strong team support Exciting career growth opportunities as the company expands Ongoing education and development through internal and external programmes Service‑recognition awards and employee assistance programme for you and your immediate family Dedication to your wellbeing through peer support, corporate health insurance discounts and wellness programmes Additional purchased leave, novated leases and access to the Gallagher Rewards Program (including discounts/cash‑back for many retailers) Reproductive leave and birthday club – a day off during your birthday month as a gift from GB About Gallagher Bassett Gallagher Bassett is Australia’s largest third‑party administrator (TPA).
