Cook Responsibilities To prepare and serve a range of Asian menu dishes at a consistently high standard. To support business growth by contributing in all the required departments of kitchen operations. Tasks Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. Discussing food preparation issues and solutions with the head chef. Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures – specifically ensuring Asian cuisine cooking techniques are followed to retain authenticity of the cuisine. Cooking menu items adapting them to the dietary needs of the customers. Ensure quality and consistency by ensuring the kitchen team follows standard recipes and presentation. Checking the quality of raw materials. Checking the cleanliness and operation of equipment before production. Receive and store kitchen stock as per company standards and food safety requirements. Explaining and enforcing food safety & hygiene regulations as per the current regulations. Qualifications Cert III and / or Cert IV in Cookery. Experience: 3 years in the same role.
