The Moreton Bay Boat Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and lead day‑to‑day kitchen operations at our friendly, well‑established venue. Located right on the water with an attached marina, we offer a fantastic working environment, supportive team culture, and excellent onsite facilities – including onsite parking and marina views. About the Role As Sous Chef, you’ll play a key leadership role in maintaining the smooth running of a busy kitchen. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to oversee service, manage staff, maintain high culinary standards, and ensure food quality and presentation are consistently excellent. This is a hands‑on, full‑time salaried position suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in their work. Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards Assist with ordering, stock control, and menu planning Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene requirements About You Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high‑volume kitchen Strong leadership and communication skills Organised, reliable, and passionate about quality food Able to work across a rotating roster including weekends and functions Relevant trade qualifications and food safety certification What We Offer Attractive salary: $80,000 – $90,000 + super Marina‑front location with a friendly, professional team Onsite parking and well‑equipped facilities Supportive environment with opportunities for growth If you’re looking for a new challenge in a busy, professional kitchen with a great team and an unbeatable location — we’d love to hear from you.
