Responsibilities Supporting the Head Chef with seasonal menu creation ensuring remain authentic to the direction of the establishment whilst managing food costs. Provide supervision and guidance to Chefs, Cooks & other kitchen staff, supporting on boarding and ongoing development of kitchen team members to create an inclusive, high performing culture in line with company values Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP and workplace health and safety legislation and regulation Assist Head Chef with all culinary requirements, food preparation, while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Ordering inventory according to needs and using approved suppliers and online ordering processes Freezing and preserving foods to maintain freshness and reduce waste. Train new staff members and conduct ongoing training for existing staff to maintain skill levels. To assist in allocating duties and rosters to permanent and casual kitchen staff. To maintain the highest standard of service, quality and presentation throughout all food outlets in conjunction with the Head Chef. Continuously develop new recipes, suggest menu improvements, and help manage kitchen budgets for optimal performance. Salary Range : AUD $70,000 – AUD $85,000 Per annum plus Superannuation Skills and Experience Minimum Diploma level qualifications are required. The candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in busy restaurant. Must be ready to work on weekends and late nights. Positive attitude.
