Job Details Clerk Grade 5-6, Ongoing role located in Kurnell. Package includes base salary $99,938‑$110,271 and employer's contribution to superannuation and leave loading. About the role This is an exciting opportunity to lead a professional customer service, information and retail team responsible for the successful running of the Kamay National Park Visitor Centre. This is a new position and will be pivotal with the reopening of the newly refurbished Centre. You will be managing a motivated team of casual employees and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality visitor information and retail services, booking centre space usage, group tours, programs and small community events. Working closely with senior management, you will contribute to the development and implementation of NPWS visitor centre and service strategy, product development, revenue generation and related policies and procedures to provide an effective and efficient visitor information and retail facility. Responsibilities Lead and manage the professional customer service, information and retail team at the Visitor Centre. Supervise a motivated team of casual employees and ensure delivery of high‑quality visitor information and retail services. Book and coordinate centre space usage, group tours, programs and small community events. Work closely with senior management to develop and implement NPWS visitor centre and service strategy. Support product development, revenue generation and related policies and procedures to maintain an effective visitor information and retail facility. About You / Qualifications Drawing upon your tourism and retail background, you will have strong communication and leadership skills to successfully mentor and manage a small team. Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and promote visitor services and an information and retail outlet. Relevant knowledge to inform visitors of the natural and cultural heritage values of the conservation reserves and the visitor services and facilities that are available. Experience using retail management systems to monitor and report on financial performance, stock control and security. Experience supervising within a Visitor Information arena is highly regarded. This role requires a current Australian Driver’s Licence, current First Aid certificate and a current Working with Children check. What we offer Accrued days off in addition to Annual Leave.
