We are looking for a National Account Manager (Petrol & Convenience) who thrives on identifying opportunities, securing new business, and developing long-term partnerships. About the Role As the National Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, profitability, and strategic partnerships within the Petrol & Convenience (P&C) channel. This role will manage major national customers for both private label and branded portfolios, building joint plans that drive growth across corporate and independent networks. This role will manage key customer relationships and develop tailored solutions that deliver sustainable long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities Manage, grow, and nurture relationships with major national P&C retailers, banner groups, wholesalers, and key independents. Lead annual joint business planning, pricing, range, and promotional strategies with key customers. Manage private label and branded business to deliver mutually profitable growth. Identify channel opportunities and develop tailored solutions that grow category value and share. Analyse market trends, scan data, and customer insights to inform channel and customer strategies. Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, and Field Sales to ensure effective execution across corporate and independent networks. Deliver agreed sales, revenue, and margin targets in line with business strategy. Lead commercial negotiations on trading terms, pricing, promotional programs, and contracts. Monitor account performance (distribution, share of space, promotional compliance) and take corrective action to address gaps. Support product launches, category activations, and in-store execution programs within the P&C channel. Develop and implement P&C channel strategies in collaboration with the GM Sales & Marketing. Provide market intelligence and competitor insights across P&C to inform business planning. Contribute to long-term category growth and innovation pipelines through customer and shopper feedback. Act as the voice of the P&C customer within the business to ensure service, availability, and execution excellence. Support business reviews, sales reporting, and forecasting accuracy for the P&C channel. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or related field (or equivalent) Minimum five years’ experience within a sales P&C FMCG role Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills Skills and Attributes Strong relationship-builder with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Commercially savvy with the ability to identify and convert growth opportunities. Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong analytical thinking and financial literacy. Proficient in ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite. What We Offer Competitive salary + performance-based incentives.
