Perth, Österreich Engineering Institute of Technology Vollzeit

Engineering Institute of Technology – West Perth WA Our Student Services team is growing and so is the impact you can have. Student Services at EIT is still young. We’re building, refining, and levelling up every month. That means your ideas and support will contribute to meaningful change and won’t disappear into a rigid system. Instead, your input will help shape how things work: from processes and SOPs to engagement strategies and even to the way we respond to wellbeing concerns. We’re looking for someone who can balance empathy with administrative efficiency, who enjoys building structure as much as hosting engagement activities, and who isn’t afraid to take responsibility when a student genuinely needs us. If you shy away from responsibility, prefer to avoid challenging conversations, or only enjoy the “fun bits” of student engagement this won’t be the right role. But if you’re motivated by helping others, enjoy solving problems, thrive on initiative, bring ideas to the table and can bring consistency and care even on the tougher days you’ll thrive with this team. What you’ll do Be the welcoming face of our Perth campus by holding the fort at reception – you’ll greet our students, staff and visitors with warmth and professionalism. Coordinate orientation events, workshops, guest speakers, and propose, plan and execute engagement activities for both on‑campus and online students. Provide empathetic pastoral care, including support for international students navigating culture shock, stress, and wellbeing challenges. Work collaboratively across Admissions, Academics, Marketing and other teams to keep the student journey running smoothly. Support at‑risk students with proactive check‑ins, documentation, and collaboration with the Academic Integrity and Student Success Officer. Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with institutional, visa, and policy requirements. Assist with work rights information sessions, resource access, and general student enquiries. Jump into cross‑team projects or initiatives where needed—seeing ad‑hoc tasks as opportunities to make a difference, not interruptions. Collaborate with our national Student Support team to deliver a consistent experience across all campuses and online. What you’ll bring A student‑first mindset. You’ll be warm, culturally sensitive, and able to build trust quickly. Curiosity, resilience, and genuine care for student wellbeing. Initiative: you spot what needs doing, take ownership, and don’t wait for someone to hand you the “how.” Reliability and follow‑through especially when students depend on you. Flexibility and comfort with shifting priorities in a fast‑moving environment. The ability to stay calm and solution‑focused during high‑stakes or emotionally challenging situations. Experience & Skills At least 2 years in student services or a similar student support role. Experience supporting international and/or online students is highly regarded. Strong organisational and time‑management skills. Tech‑confident, with experience in Microsoft Office and any LMS (Moodle experience is a bonus). Creative and resilient you’re willing to try new engagement ideas, learn from what doesn’t work, and keep improving. A background or exposure to supporting mental health will be a huge bonus in this role.
