Program Manager

CS Energy is seeking a Program Manager - Sustaining Capital, a strategic and people-focused leader who can drive the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of a portfolio of projects across Queensland’s thermal and renewable energy assets. This is a key leadership role, overseeing a diverse program of sustaining capital works that support both traditional generation and renewable energy assets to ensure CS Energy’s operations remain reliable, resilient, and future-ready. About the Role As Program Manager - Sustaining Capital, you’ll lead the execution and close-out phases of CS Energy’s capital program and provide support and guidance to the Feasibility phase to ensure all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Head of Projects, you’ll provide leadership, structure, and strategic oversight to a multidisciplinary team of Project Leads and specialists, ensuring program objectives align with corporate priorities, asset strategies, and governance frameworks. Key Responsibilities Leading and supporting project teams across multiple sites to deliver safely and effectively. Developing and implementing delivery strategies that optimise resources, contracting, and risk management. Overseeing performance of critical and at-risk projects, ensuring robust governance and transparency. Collaborating with Asset Managers and Development teams to shape the annual capital program. Driving continuous improvement in project delivery frameworks, processes, and systems. Building and developing high-performing teams that embody CS Energy’s values of safety, accountability, and innovation. This Brisbane-based role requires travel to CS Energy operational sites in QLD. About You You’re a proven program delivery leader with a deep understanding of how to execute large-scale capital works in complex industrial environments. You bring clarity, confidence, and collaboration to every challenge and you’re passionate about developing teams and uplifting capability. Qualifications and Experience At least 10 years’ experience managing large-scale programs of works in capital-intensive industries. A strong background in project delivery, planning, and resource management across multiple workstreams. Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and contractors in dynamic operating environments. Experience in program governance, stage gate reviews, and risk management frameworks. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels, explaining complex engineering in risk and cost language. A degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or Finance or extensive practical experience will be valued as are postgraduate qualifications. Certification in project or program management methodologies will also be well regarded.
