CCLHD – CAMHS Safeguards Mental Health Clinician Employment Type: Permanent Full TimePosition Classification: Health Clinician Level 3Remuneration: Depending upon qualificationsHours per Week: 38Location: Tuggerah Business ParkRequisition ID: REQ Applications Close: Thursday, 4th December 2025 at 11:59 PM About the role We’re looking for a Mental Health Clinician (Level 3) to join our Safeguards Team – a service dedicated to providing trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented, and holistic care for children, adolescents, and their families. Provide compassionate, trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented care to children, young people, and families. Build authentic, playful, and engaging relationships with young people, meeting them at their level with creativity, energy, and empathy. Partner with parents, carers, and key community stakeholders, including schools, headspace, and other services to provide holistic support. Contribute to an innovative and adaptive service that is consistently recognised for its positive impact on families. Operate within a rotating 7‑day week roster – Monday to Friday 12 midday to 8:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Work within a light‑hearted, close‑knit team that values collaboration and camaraderie. Qualifications Minimum tertiary degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy (with AHPRA registration), Social Work (with AASW membership), Counselling, or Community Welfare, plus three years post‑graduate experience in mental health; OR Master’s degree Clinical Psychology with endorsement to practice as a Clinical Psychologist; OR a tertiary Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (including Division 1 AHPRA registration) with relevant post‑graduate qualifications and at least three years’ experience in the clinical area of their post‑graduate study. Postgraduate experience working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health service or a Mental Health Service. Demonstrated knowledge of working within a crisis intervention model of care and sensitivity to the mental health needs of children (0‑18 years) and their families/carers.
