This role involves travel to sites in Homebush, Mascot, Bankstown, and Essendon Fields (VIC) as required. Overview You’ll play a key role in HR strategy, employee relations, and business partnership across our Government and Defence operations, supporting leaders and employees nationwide. Responsibilities Lead the delivery of HR strategies aligned with business goals. Manage Workday transactions for learning and development and performance management. Provide hands‑on support in employee relations, case management and disciplinary matters, advising on policies performance, investigations and compensation. Advise on industrial instruments, Australian employment law and Modern Awards; escalates complex issues. Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, including transactional tasks. Maintain presence by regularly visiting key Brisbane or Sydney sites. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years in senior HR advisory or business partner role, plus 5+ years in Aviation, Defence or Government sectors. Experience managing a diverse workforce across white‑collar and blue‑collar environments. Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, Modern Awards, HRIS systems and Microsoft Office. Proven ability to resolve complex employee relations matters with sound judgment. Excellent advisory skills – able to defend recommendations with evidence‑based reasoning. Highly fluid, agile and resilient, able to adapt quickly in dynamic environments. Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
