We specialise in the provision of violence and family violence related interventions. Our mission is to empower justice involved clients to make meaningful changes and lead crime-free, fulfilling lives. We deliver effective, evidence-based interventions tailored to complex individuals who may pose a significant risk within our community. We have a well-established team of full time and part time staff as well as a number of independent contractors and loads of admin support. We pride ourselves on creating a professional, competent and supportive environment, both on location and in our metropolitan based office. We enjoy our work, celebrate the small successes, and look for opportunities to have fun Urban Psychology is seeking a Senior Psychologist with at least 3 years' experience in a forensic setting. We have a team of early career clinicians as well as psychology interns that would benefit immensely from your knowledge and mentorship. Of course, if you are already in a leadership role, but want to expand your skills and work with a highly skilled leadership team then we are confident you'll also enjoy a move to Urban Psychology. A strong work ethic, exceptional organisational skills and the ability to self-manage are incredibly important ... but we also need someone with the ability to lead, develop and motivate an expanding team The role Urban Psychology seeks a Senior Psychologist who has experience leading, managing or supervising clinical staff. The role is diverse, challenging and most importantly rewarding. Responsibilities Supervise and manage a team of clinicians providing comprehensive evidence-based forensic assessments to adult clients. Co-facilitate and provide program supervision for intensive and semi-intensive group-based treatment programs for male and female clients. The programs are CBT-based and use multimodal methods of delivery to increase motivation, explore the factors that lead to offending, and build problem-solving, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills. Our Senior Psychologist will be responsible for providing extensive internal training (both group and individual sessions) and support to our clinical team to assist in their assessments, report writing, and intervention skills. The benefits Flexibility: Elements of this role can be performed remotely, so we can negotiate work from home days and reduced hours to support family and lifestyle balance. Growth: We fund professional development, supervision, professional registration fees and indemnity insurance for full time and part time staff. You will also receive regular internal supervision. Support: The successful candidate will become part of the Urban Psychology Leadership Team ensuring regular access to peer consultation and clinical mentoring from Clinical Managers with vast experience in the field. Innovation: Our Senior Psychologists will have an opportunity to shape our service delivery model, with a focus on continuous improvement and a desire to lead the field. Variety: We deliver services in a range of contexts and as a leader, you will have a role in direct service delivery, and indirect service delivery through the management and supervision of others. You will also maintain leadership portfolios and the management of various projects. Fun: When working regionally, we see our travel as a road trip with our colleagues, with time to explore rural and scenic destinations, enjoy culinary experiences together and bond as a team.
