Senior Clinical Psychologist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Australia’s leading public healthcare providers, delivering safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care across Victoria. We are recruiting a Senior Clinical Psychologist or Forensic Psychologist (P4) to join the Mental Health Forensic Interface Team (MH‑FIT). The position is part‑time, fixed term for two years. Key Responsibilities Provide secondary consultation to MH‑FIT, RMH Mental Health Services, and external agencies Conduct and interpret SPJ risk assessments (e.g., HCR‑20, SAVRY) and support clinicians to apply these tools effectively Apply sound clinical judgement to complex forensic and mental health presentations Act as a secondary case manager, with potential for a small clinical caseload Deliver person‑centred, evidence‑based treatment and care recommendations Demonstrate flexibility in developing and refining the role based on service needs Contribute to workforce development alongside the RMH Forensic Clinical Specialist About You Registered Psychologist with Clinical or Forensic endorsement and AHPRA Board‑Approved Supervisor status Minimum 8 years’ experience in clinical and forensic assessment, treatment, and risk management Proficient in structured risk assessment tools (e.g., HCR‑20, SAVRY, LSI‑SV) Skilled in providing clinical supervision, consultation, and workforce development Strong communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills Current Victorian driver’s licence; experience in forensic mental health and a second language are desirable Benefits Of Working With Us Work in a specialist forensic mental health service with statewide reach Join a collaborative, expert multidisciplinary team making real impact Access generous leave, salary packaging, and professional development support Discounted health and wellbeing facility access with Fitness Passport Be part of a values‑driven organisation – People First, Lead with Kindness, and Excellence Together Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Part‑time Job function Health Care Provider Recruitment is ongoing, with interviews commencing as soon as suitable applications are received.
