Legal Counsel

Provide strategic and practical legal counsel across governance, compliance, corporate law, and risk management . Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial contracts and business agreements. Minimum 3‑4 years of experience in commercial contract negotiation is required. Support cross‑border transactions, due diligence , and commercial cooperation between the Australian subsidiary and the parent company in China. Moderate experience in cross‑border business transactions is required. Ensure full compliance with Australian and Chinese legal and regulatory frameworks , maintaining alignment with both jurisdictions' policies and requirements. Business‑proficient level of Chinese language proficiency is required. Advise management on risk mitigation strategies and ensure that business operations adhere to company and legal standards. Liaise with external legal advisors, regulators, and government agencies as required. Either solicitor or barrister practising certificate accepted for the Australian qualification requirement. Must hold a legal professional qualification certificate in China. Minimum 5+ years' post‑qualification experience in corporate or commercial law, ideally within a multinational or cross‑border business environment. In‑depth understanding of Australian corporate law, Chinese legal frameworks, and cross‑border compliance . Proven experience in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution . Excellent bilingual communication skills in English and Mandarin (both written and verbal). Strong business acumen and the ability to provide commercially pragmatic legal advice .
