Senior Associate, Business Lending Finance

In the role of Senior Associate, Business Lending Finance , you will join the team that’s doubling down on making a tangible difference to customers while keeping it simple. Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to: Produce high quality, insightful management reporting and performance updates to support business decision making across our business lending products. Work with senior stakeholders in providing commercial financial insights, and analysis to drive and improve business performance. This includes performance & budgeting/planning, forecasting and financial reporting/ control. Drive continuous process improvement in our reporting. Support and align with the NAB Finance Strategy to modernise Finance and seek opportunities to drive simplification and process efficiencies. Assess, analyse, and investigate aspects of financial reporting of the Division’s Finance Performance (Lending volumes, Net Interest Margin, Fee incomes, credit impairment charges & ROE), including understanding of variances to Business plan /forecast to ensure accurate reporting and the production of business financial insight for potential drivers of variances. Provide detailed financial analysis by using data analytical skills to enable the provision of commercial and financial advice, on both strategic and operational initiatives. Maintain strong balance sheet control and understanding through the review and sign off of balance sheet reconciliations including ensuring aged balances are cleared and reconciliation breaks are clearly understood. Support half year and year end reporting periods reporting and disclosures We’re looking for the brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need: 3 -4 years’ experience in a finance partnering or FP&A role within Financial Services, preferably in a revenue generating unit setting within banking Strong verbal and written communication skills, including producing reporting for senior management Proven ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders Experience in SAP and Hyperion Finance Management systems preferred Experience and familiarity with advanced excel functions (i.e. Power query) and visualisation tools (i.e. think-cell) an advantage Analysis and problem solving Drives commercial insights Delivers results and instils trust CA/CPA qualified A diverse and inclusive workplace works better for everyone We know that our people make us who we are.
