Support our Sustainability and Assets department Full time, permanent opportunity with flexible work options $77.4K - $90.2K per annum (depending on experience) + superannuation About the Department The Sustainability and Assets Department is responsible for whole of life asset management and development which supports the livability and wellbeing across our community. The Head of Asset Strategy, Head of Project Delivery and Head of Climate and Circular Economy, reporting to Manager Sustainability and Assets, lead a team of technical specialists to develop strategy and plans and deliver assets, across our open space, buildings and transport spaces. Looking forward, the unit is responsible for key risks, from road safety to long term strategic risks such as the impact of climate change across our community. About the role Our Sustainability and Assets Support Officer will coordinate the business management of the department and handle the day-to-day coordination of meetings and tracking actions to support projects and financial tasks across our sustainability and assets teams. You will offer continued support to the department to ensure vital projects stay on track. You will also play a key role in our financial administration by processing accounts, purchase orders, and invoices, and following up on outstanding payments. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help maintain accuracy and efficiency across the department. Other responsibilities include: Assisting the Manager Sustainability and Assets and leadership team with planning, reporting, and document preparation (Council Reports, tender documentation, grant applications, award submissions). Supporting minor capital works projects under the direction of the Manager and Heads of Units. Assisting with the development and implementation of the annual Business Plan and coordinate actions across leadership groups. About you You will have proven experience in supporting contract and capital works projects, coupled with exceptional administrative skills and attention to detail. Your ability to manage multiple priorities with confidence ensures tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. The following is also required: Certificate or qualification in Business Administration, Project Management, or similar. Experience in the use of financial management, customer request or similar database software. Ability to interpret Council policies and regulations. Not meeting all the requirements for this role?
