Company Overview Probiotec is a leading provider of contract manufacturing and packing services in the pharmaceutical and associated sectors. Since 1997, Probiotec has been a key manufacturer and packer of prescription, over‑the‑counter, complementary medicines and consumer health products. With multiple sites across Australia, the group employs over 1,000 employees and offers end‑to‑end manufacturing and packing solutions. Position Overview The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for managing and processing supplier invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and maintaining compliance with company policies and financial controls. This role involves handling purchase orders, service invoices, and liaising with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies. Key Responsibilities Verify and process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding to appropriate cost centres and accounts. Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes, investigate and resolve variances. Communicate with procurement and warehouse teams to confirm goods/services received. Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with payment terms. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies promptly. Prepare payment runs (EFT, cheque, or other methods) according to company schedules, ensuring all payments are authorized and documented. Adhere to internal controls and company policies for AP processes. with month‑end closing, accruals, and reconciliations. Generate reports on AP aging and outstanding invoices, identifying opportunities to streamline processes. Assist with the implementation of purchase orders for non‑raw material purchases. Qualifications & Skills Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 2–3 years experience in accounts payable, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with purchase order systems and service invoice processing. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MFGPro, or similar). Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
