Position Summary: We are looking for a Design Support Engineer to support the Design Engineer in the design, development, and implementation of commercial kitchen equipment, both new and existing. The position involves practical engagement with CAD design, electronics, and manufacturing processes, contributing to the ongoing improvement and innovation of products used in commercial kitchen environments. Key Responsibilities Create, revise, and optimize 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Produce high-quality rendered design visuals to support projects, presentations, and marketing collateral. Interpret and draw wire diagrams; support design documentation for electrical systems embedded in equipment (e.g., control panels for fryers or dishwashers). Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, R&D, Service) to ensure designs meet technical, safety, and production requirements. Assist in prototype fabrication and testing phases. Support the Design Engineer in preparing BOMs, technical drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly. Participate in design review sessions and contribute ideas for improved manufacturability, safety, and efficiency. Help troubleshoot technical issues during production or field servicing. Qualifications and Experience Recently completed a degree in Electrical, mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Working experience and exposure to sheet metal industry, fabrication, assembly, and QA/QC processes will be highly regarded. Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with portfolio or academic examples of 2D/3D modelling. Good understanding of wire diagrams and basic electronics fundamentals.
