Senior Rehabilitation Consultant

Due to business growth, we are seeking a talented Senior Rehabilitation Counsellor, with expertise in specialist assessments and mentoring, to join our team of allied health experts in Liverpool NSW. As the Senior Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will : Assisting clients in employment or education under various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs; Conducting Vocational Assessments, ETE Assessment, Earning Capacity Assessments, Employability Assessments, Transferrable Skills Assessments, and Labour Market Research; Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks); Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes; Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs; Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals; Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes. Check out our company video if you want to see what IPAR is all about Qualifications Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry is preferred; Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling; General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC); Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders; Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy; It's the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must & plus; A current NSW Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
