About You Due to continued organisational growth and internal promotion, we’re seeking a capable and detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will work closely with the Group Finance Manager and Financial Accountant to support the management of core finance functions across multiple entities, including payroll, accounts payable, and month‑end reconciliations . This is a hands‑on position offering varied and meaningful exposure across key areas such as budgeting, forecasting, process improvement initiatives , and involvement with consolidated accounts and the audit process . Tasks & Responsibilities Process and reconcile financial transactions, supporting accurate month‑end and year‑end reporting Manage payroll across multiple entities using Employment Hero and MYOB, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely superannuation and taxation submissions Support audit, BAS, FBT and payroll tax preparation and compliance Maintain accurate accounts payable and supplier reconciliations using Acume Assist with budgeting, cashflow forecasting and financial analysis Partner with the CFO, Group Finance Manager and key stakeholders to drive accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with the intention to pursue CA / CPA 2+ years’ experience in accounting, payroll or finance administration (manufacturing experience is advantageous) Proficient in Accounting software, particularly MYOB, Employment Hero and Excel A collaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple entities Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a solid grasp on grammar and punctuation Proficient to advance in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders Effective collaboration and team building skills Strong attention to detail and time management Excellent project management and organisational skills Why Join Us?
