Prospect Hill is seeking a practical, steady Participant Liaison Officer (PLO) to provide day‑to‑day support across two‑three Supported Independent Living homes. This is a hands‑on supervisory role that blends participant‑focused administration with direct care, ensuring people receive consistent, safe, and respectful support. You’ll be the reliable point of contact in the homes—coordinating appointments, keeping families and stakeholders in the loop, mentoring newer staff on the floor, and partnering with our Compliance and Operations teams to keep standards high. You will report to the Chief of Operations (COO) and be backed by a roving management team, our Compliance Manager, and central admin (including Rostering). What you’ll do Participant support & administration Provide direct care and support to people with a disability with all activities of daily living which may include domestic duties, personal care, behavioural and social support, medication assistance, manual handling, transport and meals. Arrange and accompany participants to health and community appointments. Keep clear participant notes, follow plans, and action day‑to‑day needs. Liaise promptly and professionally with families, guardians, and key stakeholders. Implement and regularly monitor individual support plans, behaviour supports, and risk management strategies. Ensure accurate and timely documentation including progress notes, incident reports, participant plans, and shift handovers. Provide on‑shift guidance and basic training to lower‑classified staff using pre‑prepared materials. Model safe, respectful practice and reinforce routines that work. Quality, safety & house compliance Uphold compliance with NDIS and organisational standards across all service delivery areas. Conduct house compliance checks with the Compliance Manager. Complete OHS inspections and follow up actions. Escalate issues early and document accurately. Flexible time allocation Balance admin and direct care according to participant needs across both homes. This role does not include Rostering, staff disciplinary processes, payroll, or direct liaison with the NDIS/Commission. How you’ll be supported Direct line to the COO with day‑to‑day supervisory support. Access to the Compliance Manager for standards and audits. Central admin support (e.g., rostering team) to remove barriers. Regular half‑day sessions at Head Office for training, mentoring, problem‑solving, and admin catch‑up. About you You’re dependable on the floor, clear in your communication, and calm under pressure. You take pride in tidy documentation and consistent follow‑through. You enjoy coaching others and building positive, professional relationships with families and stakeholders. Experience in disability support (SIL preferred) and confidence mentoring junior staff. Strong organisational skills and comfort balancing admin with hands‑on care. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR, Driver Licence and well maintained registered vehicle with current Comprehensive Insurance. Certificate III/IV in Individual Support (Disability) or similar. Familiarity with NDIS Practice Standards, incident reporting, and OHS checks. Pay & Roster Full‑time Monday–Friday roster aligned to participant needs (house shift times such as 9am‑5pm/6am–2pm ). Optional : one weekend shift per fortnight by agreement.
