We are looking for a high performing, communications all-rounder who: can translate complex information & legislation into clear and simple concepts for the appropriate audience can demonstrate the skills needed to consult and negotiate with internal stakeholders on appropriate communication activities The Senior Communications Officer will be actively involved in delivering regulatory and educative communications for the Harm Prevention and Regulation (HPR) Division, in an efficient, cost effective and timely manner, by: supporting the strategic direction of HPR through delivery of the day-to-day communication and media functions developing, writing, implementing and evaluating media and communication activities including speeches, interviews, presentations, publications, online and social media content assisting the development of team members and mentoring other officers as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team ensuring marketing, communication and media materials are produced with readability, accuracy, in compliance with Queensland Government guidelines and the department's communication protocols and are delivered within budget and timeframe establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including graphic designers and external suppliers, to help HPR meet its strategic objectives.
