Your next career opportunity As the Leadership Giving Manager at the University of Melbourne, you'll play a pivotal role in securing significant philanthropic support that drives the institution's priorities. This role offers you the chance to develop your fundraising career at the intersection of mid-level, major, and planned giving. You will cultivate donor relationships, connecting philanthropists' values with world-changing research and education initiatives, and work closely with Advancement colleagues, academic leaders and professional staff to foster a positive, collaborative culture that supports professional growth and cross-team success. Your responsibilities will include: Manage Donor Portfolio: Cultivate and solicit a portfolio of 100-150 donors and prospects, conducting approximately 15 donor meetings per month. Drive Strategic Fundraising: Develop tailored cultivation strategies that align donors' values with University priorities, preparing compelling proposals and gift agreements. Advance Gifts in Wills Program: Contribute to the University's legacy giving strategy, growing the pipeline and meeting confirmed bequest targets. Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Advancement colleagues to ensure seamless donor transitions and optimal stewardship. You may be a great fit if: You are a relationship-driven fundraiser with proven success in donor engagement and/or Gifts in Wills fundraising, bringing technical proficiency, curiosity, and professional behaviours that support a high-performing team culture. You may also: Have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bring proven experience managing large donor portfolios with a track record or building and sustaining meaningful relationships. Demonstrate sound judgment, empathy, and discretion when navigating complex donor conversations. Have proficiency in working with CRM systems, with an ability to leverage data for strategic donor engagement and reporting. For further information, please refer to the attached PD.
