This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy for a diverse workforce of over 2,000 employees across Australia and New Zealand. The Role As a Payroll Officer, you'll take ownership of the end‑to‑end fortnightly payroll function using Chris21 (iChris), ensuring compliance with legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements. You will collaborate closely with HR and Finance to deliver a seamless payroll service, while also supporting continuous improvement initiatives and compliance reviews. Key Responsibilities Manage and process payroll for 1,000+ employees on a fortnightly basis Maintain employee records, contracts, timesheets, and leave data Interpret awards and enterprise agreements to ensure accuracy of pay, entitlements, and deductions Complete payroll reconciliations and contribute to month‑end reporting Ensure compliance with PAYG, superannuation, STP, and other statutory obligations Partner with HR and Finance to maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy Provide timely, professional responses to payroll queries Support audits, process reviews, and ongoing payroll improvement projects About You 1–3 years' experience in payroll within a shared services or multi‑business unit environment Proficiency in Chris21 (iChris) and exposure to ERP systems (Oracle or similar) Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation; NZ exposure highly regarded High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality Strong communication skills with a collaborative, service‑focused mindset Organised, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as in a team If you're looking to advance your payroll career in a role that blends technical expertise with stakeholder collaboration, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
