Position Overview Position status: Full time, 24-month contract (Renewal Options) Reports to: Director and Deputy Director Direct reports (shared): Arts Officer Internal Relationships: Director, Deputy Director, Arts Program Manager, Business Manager and dedicated PUNQ Festival staff. External Relationships: Artists, publicists, agencies, suppliers, media Salary package: $72,000 - $82,000 per annum + superannuation guarantee (12%) Salary awarded commensurate with experience. Full-time employees are offered one beneficial rest day leave per calendar month. $2,000 relocation allowance for applicants not from the Guarmbilbarra / Townsville region Responsibilities and Duties As the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in realising Umbrella's vision and mission. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with Umbrella’s goals. This includes identifying growth opportunities, diversifying audience engagement, and promoting Umbrella’s annual program, exhibitions, residencies, special events and our biennial festival PUNQ. Collaboration is at the heart of Umbrella's ethos, and you will work closely with the Director, Deputy Director, programming team, and external partners to conceive and execute impactful marketing campaigns. Your role extends to overseeing digital communications, fundraising campaigns, public relations, and elevating the national and international recognition of Umbrella’s work. Additionally, you will lead the evaluation processes, collecting data and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to continually refine and enhance Umbrella’s communication and marketing strategies, as well as create post-campaign reports for our funders and partners.
