R BROTHERS CONCRETING PTY LTD – Diggers Rest VIC We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and schedules for concreting and formwork projects. You will support project planning, procurement, and delivery by analyzing plans, assessing materials and labour costs, and collaborating with engineers and contractors to ensure efficient execution within budget. Perform quantity take-offs for concrete, reinforcement, and formwork components as required. Consult with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather data and resolve estimation queries. Prepare detailed cost plans, tender submissions, and budget estimates. Track project costs and prepare expenditure reports to assess accuracy and progress. Monitor and update cost databases, procurement information, and supplier pricing. Assist in coordinating works programs and construction schedules. Conduct site inspections to ensure work and materials align with project specifications and standards. Interpret building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to project scope. Support project managers in assessing variations and cost-effectiveness during construction. Attend site inspections, client meetings, and project reviews as required to ensure accurate scope assessment and cost alignment. Qualification & experience Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Estimating, or Building Proven experience in construction estimating or a similar role. Proficiency in interpreting construction plans and technical drawings. Sound understanding of Australian construction codes and cost estimation practices. Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
