Manage legal matters with significant Government and client implications. Clearly articulate technical arguments and draft legal documents. Work under pressure, think creatively, and provide client-focused legal solutions. Contribute to the commercial business success of the legal team by achieving revenue expectations. 3. Senior Lawyer (EL1 and EL2): Provide expert legal advice and representation in various legal matters for Commonwealth agencies. Specialize in areas such as constitutional law, public international law, national security law, and commercial transactions. Handle complex contracting arrangements, information technology transactions, and projects of national importance. Coordinate constitutional litigation and manage cases involving constitutional issues. Ensure compliance with professional standards and deliver client-focused legal solutions. *Education and Experience Information:** Entry in the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia or the roll of barristers and solicitors of the Supreme Court of a State or Territory. Generally, at least 1-4 years of relevant post-admission experience or equivalent legal experience. Knowledge of the Commonwealth legal environment. AGS operates as a self-funded legal practice, competing for work while dedicated to the national interest. The roles are available in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension.
