Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of AWA will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations which deliver quality, safety and growth. This role requires an experienced dynamic leader who is committed to delivering sustainable high-quality care and support to people living with dementia.
Ideal Candidate Profile:Proven experience in a COO leadership role within the aged care sector, with a strong understanding of dementia care and support services.Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data, conduct analysis and forecasting, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.Strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial analysis, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.Excellent communication skills and experience in conveying information to stakeholders, Board level reporting, and liaising with team members.Excellent interpersonal, intrapersonal, and leadership skills.Experience in leading and managing an executive leadership and senior management teams. Capable of mentoring and developing staff to ensure the operations functions effectively.Demonstrated experience in delivering against a strategic plan through excellent operational management.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in Aged Care and NDIS services.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the executive leadership team and business unit leaders to deliver exceptional care and support services.Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure the effective and sustainable delivery of dementia care services in the community.Monitor and evaluate the performance of AWA’s services, identify areas for growth and improvement, and implement strategies to achieve operational excellence.Manage AWA’s budget and resources effectively, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.Oversee the smooth operations of community care and support and NDIS services, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.Collaborate with funding bodies to acquit service provision obligationsStay informed about industry trends, and best practice in aged care services.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and person-centered care throughout AWAQualifications:Bachelor's degree, business, accounting, or a related fieldCPA/CA (desirable)We Offer:Ongoing professional development opportunitiesFlexible work arrangements.Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum.Performance Bonus.5 weeks of annual leave and 17.5% leave loading.On-site free parking.Market-leading Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
