Mental Health Clinician Safeguards (Multidisciplinary) (CNS2/SW3/OT3) - Temporary Full Time up to 6 Months - Justice Health Olympic Park NSW Health Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales, Australia Employment Type: Temporary Full Time Position Classification: Occupational Therapist Level 3; Social Worker Level 3; Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Remuneration: dependent on grade classification plus superannuation Hours per week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ Applications Close: 24 November 2025 at 11:59pm AEDT The Role Exciting opportunity to join the Safeguards Team in Adolescent Forensic Mental Health – a multidisciplinary team providing mental health and discipline‑specific assessment, intervention and care coordination to young people and families in contact with the criminal justice system. Responsibilities Provide community‑based assessment and intervention service for young people with complex mental health needs in contact with the criminal justice system. Perform mental health assessment, intervention and care coordination incorporating discipline‑specific recommendations. Deliver rapid, mobile, intensive and flexible short‑term evidence‑based interventions to improve outcomes. Work with families and community services to enhance outcomes for young people. Take reasonable care for yourself and others in WHS. Essential Requirements Allied Health Staff (OT3; SW3) – Bachelor of Occupational Therapy registered with AHPRA or relevant Social Work qualification with membership to Australian Association of Social Workers; three years clinical experience and extensive specialist knowledge. Nursing Staff (CNS2) – Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; post‑registration qualifications and at least 3 years full‑time equivalent experience managing clients with mental health conditions. Valid unrestricted Driver Licence for use in NSW and Australia. Valid NSW Employee Working With Children Check. May require extended hours during the week and on weekend; may need to travel to regional NSW sites for in‑reach. Benefits Additional allowances and salary packaging options.
