Location: Woolloongabba, BrisbaneEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Do you want to make a difference in children’s lives? At Childhood Cancer Support, we’ve been standing alongside families impacted by childhood cancer for almost 50 years, providing free accommodation, patient transport, and holistic family support to help regional families stay close to their children during life‑saving treatment at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. We’re now embarking on one of the most exciting chapters in our history — a major Capital Campaign to build a new East Brisbane Accommodation Village with 15 purpose‑built family units. To help us achieve this life‑changing vision, we’re looking for an experienced and relationship‑driven Philanthropy Manager to join our passionate team. About the Role Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll lead the growth of our Major Gifts and Gifts in Wills (Bequest) programs, while also playing a key role in supporting our Capital Campaign. You’ll cultivate meaningful relationships with philanthropists, corporate partners, and community donors who share our belief that closeness matters, ensuring every regional child with cancer can have their family by their side. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing strategies for major gifts and bequests Cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with donors and supporters Supporting the delivery of the East Brisbane Capital Campaign alongside external consultants and campaign volunteers Preparing proposals, presentations, and stewardship reports Maintaining accurate donor records and ensuring best‑practice fundraising compliance This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic philanthropy with hands‑on relationship management, in a small, passionate, and supportive team environment. About You You’re an inspiring, authentic communicator who thrives on building long‑term relationships and achieving meaningful results. You bring: Demonstrated experience and success in major gifts and/or bequest fundraising Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail A collaborative approach and a genuine passion for helping families in need Experience in the not‑for‑profit sector and tertiary qualifications in fundraising, marketing, or business will be highly regarded.
