Join to apply for the Facilities Manager - Merrylands role at Stockland We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join our Stockland Merrylands Team based in Sydney. This is a full-time permanent role working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to work one Saturday per month as Site Duty Manager, day to be taken back in lieu. The Opportunity Join the team at Stockland’s Merrylands Shopping Centre, one of Western Sydney’s busiest retail destinations. This vibrant, high-traffic centre is home to a diverse mix of retailers and experiences. As Facilities Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the centre operates seamlessly, delivering a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for tenants and customers alike. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where no two days are the same, and your expertise will directly impact the success of a thriving retail hub. Your responsibilities will include: Assume responsibility for the operation and presentation of the Centre, by working on ensuring contract compliance with all centre contractors including security and cleaning. Assist with operational and capital expenditure budgets & manage capital works including tenancy delivery works, including raising all operation expenditure purchase orders. Contribute to performance reporting requirements Assume responsibility for any processes and procedures related to the delivery of a safe, compliant, well maintained, and sustainable Centre Build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholder groups while developing and maintaining appropriate industry relationships Promote and ensure full compliance with Stockland’s OH&S policies Establish and drive improvement programs to optimise the assets waste and energy, and water usage Identify and implement organisational improvement initiatives and OH&S improvements Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all occupants. About You: Retail operations experience, or relevant Facilities Management experience Proven experience in customer service and managing effective relationships with commercial tenants. Exposure and understanding of maintenance planning principles and methodology. You will have a strong client service focus with outstanding relationship management skills You will be an influencer with excellent communication and organisational skills You will have a positive attitude, with a demonstrated ability to learn, adapt and take accountability Experience in managing budgets, purchase order creation and contracts administration will be highly regarded.
