Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a small, fast paced working team in a role that requires a high level of responsibility and accountability. The role is located in Warwick Farm, NSW with free onsite parking, close to public transport. Hours: Part Time – 24 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday). Our office hours are generally 8:30am to 5pm. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders to support successful business transactions. Perform processing of weekly pay runs as allocated by Payroll Manager. Maintain accuracy of data entry for payroll related transactions into systems. Assist with processing of terminations, resignations and other end of employment processes. Assist with processing of worker’s compensation wage transactions. Assist with interpretation of Award/Agreements and contracts in relation to overtime and shift allowances. Respond to payroll related enquiries in a prompt and accurate manner. Assist with processing tasks related to PAYG, Superannuation and payroll tax transactions. Ensure all payroll records are up to date and maintained at all times. Assist with weekly and monthly reporting activities as required. To be Successful Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation. Comprehensive understanding of Modern Awards. Knowledge of superannuation and Long Service legislation. Proven experience in a payroll position or a related field. Excellent organisational skills and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
