Specialist RTO Assessor: Civil, Government & Fraud Investigations Australian Security Academy – Melbourne VIC The Australian Security Academy (RTO 30547) is a respected, compliance-focused Registered Training Organisation (RTO) committed to professionalising the investigative and compliance sectors. We deliver Nationally Recognised Training to professionals working across Civil Insurance Investigation Agencies, Government Regulators, Workers Compensation, and Fraud Control. We champion high compliance standards and foster a supportive, professional remote team environment. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assessor to join our team on a 6 month, 3 day per week contract with possibility of extension. This critical role is perfect for a professional seeking a flexible part‑time commitment. Your primary focus will be on remotely assessing student submissions for Certificate III and Certificate IV qualifications in Investigative Services. This is more than just assessment, you will play a vital part in capability development by providing supportive, constructive, and compliant feedback that ensures learner success and RTO integrity. Prior experience in investigative services or related fields is an essential requirement for this position. What You Will Be Doing (Key Responsibilities) Assessment & Feedback: Conduct timely and compliant assessment of Nationally Recognised Training, providing detailed, supportive, and corrective feedback on student submissions. Compliance: Maintain meticulous and compliant training and assessment documentation in line with RTO requirements and the VET Quality Framework. Quality Assurance: Actively participate in assessment validation, design, and review processes. Professional Representation: Represent the RTO professionally and champion a culture of compliance and learner success within the industry. Essential Qualifications & Experience To be considered for this specialist role, you must meet the following criteria: VET Qualification: Current TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. Industry Qualification: CPP30619 Certificate III in Investigative Services (or superseded equivalent). Experience: Minimum 3 years of extensive experience providing compliant assessment and constructive feedback within an RTO environment. Licensing: Current Private Investigator License in Victoria and/or New South Wales. Highly Regarded Attributes (Advantageous) Experience using VET Student Management Systems (e.g. VETTrak) and Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle). Demonstrated Assessment Validation and/or RTO Audit experience. Current VET CPD currency (e.g. participation in professional networks, skills maintenance). Ready to Apply?
