Job Summary Join to apply for the Estimator role at SRG Global. Due to steady growth in our civil engineering division, we are seeking an experienced Estimator located in our Sydney / Victoria office. The Estimator will prepare cost estimates and tenders for civil projects in Australia, leading competitive estimation and tender processes for projects such as Road and Bridge Construction, Bridge launching, Tanks and Silo Construction, Dam upgrades, specialist building and complex structures to achieve strategic growth, turnover and margin targets. Key Responsibilities Liaise with Project Managers, Construction Managers and Engineers to develop construction methodologies and non-price submission information. Develop detailed cost estimates for various civil construction projects, compile accurate tenders within deadlines, and present for management review. Develop draft construction programs in consultation with in-house P6 Planner; Develop and maintain close working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors; Contribute to business development initiatives, identifying opportunities, and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients to foster growth. Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction or similar; Demonstrated experience in estimating civil construction and earthworks from first principles (3+ years); Experience tendering government work for agencies such as TfNSW, WaterNSW, up to the values of $100m - $200m; Knowledge of concrete construction and remediation; Experience working for a Tier 1 / Tier 2 construction contractor; (previous site experience 4-5 years ); An extensive network of contacts across Australia; Experience with Expert Estimation estimating software package; A proven record of success is essential.
