City of Brisbane, Österreich Yarn Marketplace Vollzeit

Yarn is a fast-growing fashion and lifestyle brand creating bold, art‑led products across fashion, accessories, homewares and gifts. We move quickly, launch often, and are now looking for an experienced Product & Fashion Designer to help drive our next stage of growth. This is not an entry‑level role. You’ll own product from idea to delivery – researching trends, designing, specifying, and working directly with our factories to bring ranges to life. What You’ll Do Own the full product development process , from market research and concepting through to sampling, approvals and delivery. Reskin existing hero products with new artwork and colourways (scaling, pattern placement, repeats, variations). Design new products across multiple categories – jewellery, bags, fashion garments, tees, accessories and more. Develop and refine technical packs for offshore suppliers, including measurements, construction details and print specs. Liaise directly with factories on sampling, fabric options, trims, print methods and costing. Support sourcing of new materials, components and product opportunities as required. Collaborate on packaging design (boxes, swing tags, belly bands, labels etc.) to keep everything brand‑aligned. Stay ahead of trends in fashion, colour and print so our ranges feel fresh and commercially sharp. Work as a true all‑rounder in a small, fast‑paced team – helping with priority projects, tight launches and last‑minute opportunities. Who You Are 5+ years’ experience in fashion, product or accessories design (ideally with end‑to‑end development responsibility). Demonstrated experience working with offshore manufacturers – you’re confident sending tech packs, reviewing samples and pushing for quality. Strong eye for fashion, colour, print and styling , and a portfolio that shows commercial, on‑trend work. Comfortable designing across multiple categories : apparel, jewellery, accessories, packaging and everyday products. Solid skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Understanding of printing methods, garment construction and sublimation is a bonus (but not a deal‑breaker if you’re keen to learn). Self‑directed, proactive, “get it done” attitude – you listen to the brief, ask smart questions and run with it. Able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines without dropping the ball. Comfortable in a fast‑moving eCommerce environment where things change quickly and opportunities appear overnight. Nice to Have (Big Plus): Experience designing sublimated garments (e.g. polos/jerseys), including panel breakdowns, placement prints and production‑ready artwork. There’s plenty of room to grow this side of the range if you bring the skills. Why Join Yarn? Real impact, real growth – we’re scaling quickly and you’ll have genuine ownership over categories and ranges. Huge variety – from polos and tees to quilts, jewellery, bags and homewares, no two weeks look the same. Creative freedom within a commercial frame – we back good ideas and move fast when we see opportunity. Tight, collaborative team – small enough that your work is visible; big enough to support you. Opportunity to work with meaningful, art‑led product that celebrates culture and storytelling.
