Join us and be a part of a thriving company that puts its people at the heart of its success We are looking for an experienced Supply & Distribution Manager based at our Laverton depot to take ownership and control over running the day-to-day operations working within our Victoria Operations Team. The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. Your responsibilities will include: Ensure safe storage and distribution policies adhered to. Review these from time-to-time and update as required. Develop and monitor supply chain strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs. Collaborate with vendors, suppliers and other department to achieve operational excellence. Coordinating with various departments and clients to understand the needs and specifications for outbound goods and the corresponding transportation arrangements. Proactively communicating to customers when there are delivery issues. Booking and allocating all freight movements in our Transport Management System. Oversee allocation of drivers to all loads ensuring load distribution improves productivity of fleet and reduce operational costs. Plan and manage driver hours to ensure our practices abide by the National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL). Coordinating preloading of trailers from the customer site.Maintaining system records for all loads completed with resource details updated. Escalating any safety or compliance issues to management and assisting with incident management as necessary. Coordinating with the Fleet Manager to ensure vehicles are taken off the road for repairs as necessary. Coordinating breakdown recovery with the Fleet Manager. Skills & Experience: Minimum 2 year experience in supply chain and distribution management or similar role managing fleet and drivers particularly Local transport operations. Experience in Refrigerated Transport desirable. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Word & Outlook. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Want this opportunity?
