Grade 2 Exercise Physiologist – Integrative Oncology Alfred Health is hiring a Grade 2 Exercise Physiologist for the Integrative Oncology Unit within the Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre (PFMCC). The appointment is a 2‑year fixed‑term role, until December 2027, with potential for a permanent position. The role is full‑time (76 hours per fortnight) and located at The Alfred. Responsibilities Deliver individual and group‑based exercise programs tailored to outpatients across all stages of the cancer care continuum. Provide expert assessment and exercise prescription. Educate and empower patients to engage in self‑management and sustainable exercise habits. Collaborate closely with nursing, medical, allied health and complementary therapy practitioners to ensure holistic and coordinated care. Contribute to the ongoing development, evaluation and refinement of the cancer exercise program and broader Integrative Oncology services. Participate in research, quality improvement and service innovation initiatives to advance best practice in supportive cancer care. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualification in Exercise Science or equivalent (Bachelor, Master of Exercise Science, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Allied Science, Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science). Current accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience such as acute cancer care, oncology rehabilitation and/or palliative care. Skilled in individual and group exercise prescription, in person and via telehealth, with commitment to evidence‑based service protocols. Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills. Well‑developed organisational, time management, planning and priority setting skills.
