About the Role We’re seeking an experienced and driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the hotel’s commercial strategy across accommodation, conferencing, and food & beverage. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue performance through strategic sales initiatives, brand positioning, and marketing activation. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to an energetic and commercially minded professional with a proven background in 4-star+ hotels or resorts . Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans across corporate, leisure, and group segments Lead the RFP process including rate strategy, bid submissions, and negotiation for corporate preferred accounts Build and nurture strong relationships with key partners including PCOs, associations, and event agencies Develop and grow the MICE segment through targeted initiatives and creative campaigns Partner with the Revenue Manager to analyse trends, competitor performance, and pricing strategy to maximise yield Manage sales pipeline, lead allocation, and reporting through Delphi.fdc (or similar CRM system) Represent the hotel, Oscars Group, and Accor at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities Oversee digital marketing strategy and online performance including OTA content and rate parity Lead, coach, and inspire the Sales & Marketing team to achieve targets and deliver excellence Collaborate with the General Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term business planning About You Proven success in a senior Sales & Marketing leadership role within a 4-star+ hotel or resort Minimum 5 years’ experience driving commercial performance in hospitality Strong understanding of revenue management, rate strategy, and distribution Experience using Delphi.fdc or similar sales management systems Demonstrated results in driving growth across corporate, leisure, and MICE markets Skilled in digital marketing, brand positioning, and communications Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills Energetic, strategic, and highly motivated with a passion for hospitality excellence Full Australian working rights required A leadership role in one of the Illawarra’s most iconic beachfront hotels Access to exclusive Oscars Group and Accor discounts on accommodation and F&B Free on-site parking Internal and external training and professional development opportunities Career progression across 45+ venues within Oscars Group Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and staff recognition initiatives About Us Oscars Group is a passionate, creative, and dynamic privately owned hospitality group founded by the Gravanis family in 1986 .
