Technical Officer - Biomedical Engineering Department of Health, Infrastructure – Asset Management Services, North West Regional Hospital. Applications due by Tuesday 6 January. 55 PM. Role Overview We are seeking a Technical Officer to manage biomedical inventory at Mersey Community Hospital and North West Regional Hospital, conducting repairs, compliance testing, service agreements, contractor management, and technical advice. Responsibilities Hands‑on repair and compliance testing of biomedical equipment. Manage service agreements and contractors. Provide technical advice on biomedical equipment, ensuring compliance with documentation and data requirements. Qualifications & Experience Sound understanding of instrumentation principles and recognised experience in electronic fault‑finding and repair, including computer‑controlled systems and devices. Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with health care workers. Ability to work individually and as a team in a changing environment. Essential Criteria Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electronic or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution, or an equivalent qualification. Current Driver’s Licence. Desirable Criteria Participation in an on‑call roster. Intrastate travel capability. Benefits Salary range $81,915 to $94,263 per annum, plus 12% superannuation. Access to salary package benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 per FBT year.
