Reporting to the General Manager, your role will focus on proactive sales growth within Victoria Australia. Business retention with our current customer base and focus on key accounts will be vital, along with the ability to seek out new opportunity within the VIC portfolio via product diversity and extending relationships. In this role, you will manage a team of Account Managers, Internal Sales and warehouse supervisor to ensure the customer is being looked after at all times and that the state is maximising all sales opportunities. ABOUT YOU We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes: Sales and team management experience, preferably in a product based company; Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and sales driven; Experience in B2B sales. Wholesaling products preferred but not essential; Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and KPI's; Use of HubSpot or other similar CRM's preferred, with the ability to analyse sales data and co‑ordinate targeted sales campaigns; Experience in on‑road sales and phone based account management; Ability to lead a team by example and get your hands dirty; Clear and confident communication skills; High level of customer service experience, strong relationship building skills; and Minimum of 5 years in a sales role with measurable success. If you are driven, have a strong sales acumen and possess a team focused attitude you will go a long way in this role. We are seeking motivators with a customer focused, hunter mentality. ABOUT THE ROLE Your core responsibility will be to lead and work with the VIC sales team to achieve the annual sales target and grow business within the state. You will need to analyse and identify gaps in the current sales strategy and develop strategies to counteract any sales shortfalls. This may include expanding the product offering to existing customer accounts, through awareness, product demonstrations and traditional on‑road sales meetings. You will work with the current VIC account managers to help them to build their sales turnover, plus you will be responsible for managing your own list of select key accounts with support from the National sales team. Success Factors may include: Confidence in your ability and a proven sales background. Skill set to negotiate through tough sales deals both in person, over the phone and via proposals; eagerness to follow up and win the job Strong administrative skills and a high level of attention to detail.
