Infrastructure Maintenance Officer Whitehorse City Council Salary $69k to $73k per annum + Allowances + 12% Superannuation Full Time 9 day fortnight rostered day off Transformation Pillars Excellent Customer Experience and Service Delivery Great Organisational Culture Innovation and Continuous Improvement Good Governance and Integrity Long Term Financial Sustainability The role The role involves performing a range of maintenance works including asphalting, stormwater drainage maintenance, installation and repair of signage and roadside furniture. You will carry out regular inspections of Council’s road network and undertake various maintenance activities in accordance with Council’s Road Management Plan as well as working in accordance with the OHS Act and Council’s OHS Policies to provide a safe working environment. About you Hands on experience in maintenance works and ideally experience in asphalting, drain cleaning, minor concrete construction Good verbal and written communication skills. An ability to deal with all parties including the general public in a courteous manner and to resolve minor problems with residents, traders and contractors. An ability to work as part of team and support team objectives. A flexible approach and ability to respond to changing work methods, equipment and procedures.
