Role Carramar PS is seeking a motivated School Psychologist to join their Student Services team. To be successful you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will be able to collaborate and work effectively with our leadership team, students, and parents. The successful applicant will develop and maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, consult widely, and work effectively both as part of a team and independently when required. They will collaborate closely with school leadership and the Student Services team, joining a community of motivated and innovative educators committed to ensuring the wellbeing and educational outcomes of students. Eligibility Hold or be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start. Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start. A four‑page statement addressing the selection criteria as outlined in the attached JDF, including: Demonstrated ability to implement school psychology services and programs in an educational environment to maximise student learning outcomes. Demonstrated knowledge of implementation and evaluation of a variety of psychological approaches appropriate for individual, group and system‑level intervention. Demonstrated high‑level written and oral communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to produce correspondence, reports and case notes, and interview and training (facilitation) skills. Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, functioning self‑directed and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with a range of clients across the lifespan, Department personnel and inter‑agency partners across a variety of contexts. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issue identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
