Overview Are you an older adult?Do you like chatting with older adults, sharing information and public speaking?You can help others to stay healthy and prevent falls by volunteering to talk with groups of older adults about how to Stay On Your Feet®. Responsibilities Help others stay healthy and prevent falls by volunteering to talk with groups of older adults about Stay On Your Feet®. Present educational information to community groups and organisations in their local area about preventing slips, trips and falls. Deliver presentations or attend displays throughout the year, depending on your availability. Receive full training and ongoing support from the Injury Prevention team. Be reimbursed for any travel costs; volunteers provide their own transport. Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Time Required Each presentation will require 2 hours of your time. Presentations vary each month and you can choose which ones you would like to do based on your availability. Type of Work Companionship & Social Support, Education & Training, Seniors & Aged Care Training Volunteers will receive initial training in how to deliver the presentations and ongoing support.
