Summary Support teachers in delivering powerful strategies that supercharge student learning and success in every subject Location and employment details Location: Assisi Catholic College - Upper Coomera (S) Start date: Commencing January Work hours: 32.5 hours per week Salary: School Officer Level 3 - $/hour + super (School Salary Scale) Status: Term Time Fixed Term (Until the end of School year - School holidays unpaid) Ad close date: 17 December Contact: About the opportunity The School Officer (Classroom Support) provides efficient and effective support across a broad range of tasks to help maintain and enhance the smooth operation of the school. This position will work closely with Support Teacher : Inclusive Education, developing and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies for individual students or groups, with the aim of improving learning outcomes across various learning areas or subjects. In this position you will be responsible for: Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use of technology and learning support activities. Working closely with the Support Teacher : Inclusive Education, providing a range of administrative tasks to ensure compliance and effective service delivery. Monitoring student progress, identifying learning needs and contributing to evidence-based intervention strategies. Supporting improved student outcomes by assisting students with diverse learning needs and providing relevant guidance. Collaborating with school specialists to organise and facilitate intervention groups and coordinated student support. Documenting observation notes, tracking intervention programs and preparing classroom materials. Responding to enquiries, providing accurate information, resolving issues and recording correspondence in line with procedures. Maintaining and improving school systems, databases and records management processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and accessibility. About you To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs. Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions. Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes. Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups. Proficiency in documenting observations, managing intervention programs, and preparing classroom materials. Certificate III in Education Support. Experience working in Classroom / Specialist support will be highly regarded. For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
