We're looking for community-minded volunteers to help manage our Patient Libraries across all Northern Health sites. Small library nooks are located throughout the hospital on various wards to provide patients and visitors with access to books and magazines to make their stay a little more interesting. This volunteer role involves walking around the hospital to the various wards to restock the shelves of the little library locations. Volunteers will liaise with our Library Manager to assist with sorting and restocking books and keeping displays tidy. If you're organised, reliable, want to keep active, and enjoy creating welcoming spaces, we'd love to hear from you We also have a mobile book trolley that we offer to patients that are bed‑bound and unable to make their way to the library nooks. So if you love to chat, want to get your steps up for the day, and help to brighten up someone's stay while in hospital, this role might be for you Category Education & Training Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work Library Services Time Required 3 hours a week Training This role involves walking around the hospital restocking little book nooks which provide reading material for patients and visitors.
