Director, Executive Level 2, Anti-Dumping Commission Department of Industry, Science and Resources – Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Salary range: $147,408 - $158,710. About the Commission The Anti‑Dumping Commission is Australia’s Trade Remedies Authority. We support the Australian economy by securing a level playing field for local industry by undertaking investigations into allegations of unfair international trade practices involving goods entering Australia and administering Australia’s anti‑dumping legislation. About the Strategy & Operations Branch The Strategy & Operations Branch supports the Commission’s core activity of trade remedies investigations. It leads the Commission’s efforts to realise our Strategic Plan, drive strategic planning, build capabilities, harness data, engage stakeholders and deliver on the Commission’s strategy. About the Strategy, Policy and Performance Team The Strategy, Policy and Performance team is the architect and steward of the Commission’s strategic direction, operational and investigative policy and procedural guidance. It drives continuous improvement, regulatory reform, performance monitoring and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Apply advanced strategic thinking to set direction, prioritise competing demands, and deliver high‑quality outcomes. Team Leadership: Build and sustain high‑performing teams and foster a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement. Regulatory Practice: Master contemporary tools and frameworks for strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting. Operational and Investigative Policy Development: Ensure policies and guidance underpin efficient, high‑quality decision‑making. Risk and Regulatory Burden Management: Develop strategies, policies and guidance to minimise regulatory burden for users of the anti‑dumping system. Analytical Insight: Analyse emerging issues and regulatory trends to maintain agility and responsiveness. Qualifications Leadership: Exceptional ability to drive strategic, operational policy and practice initiatives; manage change; build high‑performing teams; collaborate effectively with technical experts. Project Management: Strong skills in managing complex projects, mitigating risk and overseeing workflow. Strategic Thinking: Advanced capacity to prioritise competing demands and solve complex problems. Excellent Written and Verbal Skills: Ability to convey complex information clearly and influence senior leaders. Regulatory Policy Development and Risk Management: Mastery of contemporary tools and frameworks for strategic planning, performance monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement. Sector and Policy Context Understanding: Sophisticated understanding of global economic context, trade remedies framework and the Commission’s strategic imperatives. Eligibility Australian citizens with baseline security clearance. Successful candidates will require and maintain the required clearance level.
