About the Role Join the team at Rydges Sydney Airport kitchen team working across The Ascot restaurant, Smithy’s Bar and IRD, where modern Australian flavours meet warm hospitality. As a full-time Demi Chef, you’ll support the delivery of beautifully crafted dishes focusing on Australian produce. Skills & Experience 2+ years’ worth of experience working in a restaurant, bistro or hotel. Experience on multiple sections including larder, fryer and grill. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WH&S practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and follow kitchen procedures. Passion for food preparation and willingness to learn across all kitchen areas. Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a professional attitude. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook food as directed, including baking, pastry, and butchery tasks. Respond promptly to guest needs and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment. Follow all standard operating procedures and minimise food wastage at all times. Support a culture of learning and professionalism within the kitchen team. Maintain grooming standards and positive relationships with service staff. Comply with hotel policies, WH&S guidelines, and maintain strong product knowledge.
