Job Overview Bobby Joe Pty Ltd Roberts on Oxford – Leederville WA. We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef or Chef to join our team. You’ll be preparing dishes for daily service, functions, and special events, while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This role involves close collaboration with our front‑of‑house team to ensure a seamless dining experience for every patron. Ideal for an experienced Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up into a more senior position. Responsibilities Confidently work across all sections, preparing a variety of gastro‑pub dishes. Prepare, handle, cook and expedite food during busy services. Maintain strict portion control, consistent presentation, and premium quality. Ensure compliance with council regulations, health standards, and food‑safety requirements. Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and efficient. Collaborate with front‑of‑house staff to deliver smooth, high‑quality service. Support catered functions, special events, and large group bookings. Contribute to menu development and kitchen processes. Qualifications & Experience AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) or minimum three years relevant experience. Previous experience in a premium pub, bistro, tapas kitchen, or similar venue preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and council regulations / compliance. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Creativity, passion, and a strong eye for presentation. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, especially with FOH staff. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and functions when needed. Australian work rights or a valid visa required.
