Staff Specialist

Staff Specialist - Emergency Medicine Join a high-performing Emergency Department where you will provide expert clinical care and contribute to a culture of leadership, safety and excellence across one of Queensland's busiest EDs. In this role, you will: Deliver high-quality clinical assessment, treatment and decision-making for Emergency Department presentations. Provide direct supervision, leadership and support to Registrars, PHOs and RMOs. Lead patient flow, coordinate care with inpatient teams and ensure high-quality handover and documentation. Contribute to teaching, research, clinical governance, audit and service improvement activities within the ED. About You You are an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to evidence-based, person-centred care and collaborative leadership. You will bring: Fellowship with ACEM (or equivalent) and specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA. Advanced clinical expertise, sound judgement and the ability to make ethically informed decisions under pressure. Strong leadership capability, fostering teamwork, positive workplace culture and high-quality patient care. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage complex clinical situations and support junior staff.
